I have taken the ohm reading on my coils from 1988 Pontiac

Customer Question

Hi Scott, I have taken the ohm reading on my coils from 1988 Pontiac Grand Am with 2.3 engine. The readings are 8.3 and 8.6 K's on the large port and 0.00 k on the small wires. What does this tell us? Thanks, Bobby

can you tell me the problem you are having ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My car was running on all 4 cyl and then it switched to 2 cyl. I lost power from not having it run on all 4 cyl. I changed plugs and tested the fuel injectors. Had the same problem. I pulled the distributor cap off and checked the coils for damage. No damage there. I took the whole assy to Auto Zone and had then test the ignition module. It tested bad so I'm waiting for the part to come in.
