Pontiac: I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am that will start right

Customer Question

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am that will start right up then die. If I turn the key off then back on it will start again but will not stay running. The security light is not flashing , but will stay on as long as I have the key on. we've been through the whole security light flashing, wait 10 minutes and the car starts. This is different. I read where someone said I need to replace the ignition switch.
