Hello, my name is***** you for the question. Can you tell me if the car is like this all of the time or is it intermittent?

Thank you. It sounds like you either have an ignition switch failure or even more commonly a failing body control module. This module controls these circuits and is prone to failure. If you have a voltage meter I can walk you through some electrical tests to diagnose it.

i got a volt meter

What we need to do is access the ignition switch. It is located behind the key lock cylinder, so when you access it you will see about 6-7 large wires on it. With the key off see if you have two wires with voltage. Then turn the key on then see if all but the yellow wire has voltage. If not then replace it.

how do i access the ignitionh switch
Expert:  FIXITMAN replied 1 year ago.
You will have to remove the instrument cluster trim that wraps around it. Once that is removed you can access the bolts that hold the assembly in and access the switch.
