Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes, they were from advanced Auto and Remanufactured let me check on the voltage and it will be several hours before I can reply back. Thanks, ***** *****

ok let me know
also be very sure the terminals in the connector that plugs into the alternator are not loose and are making a good connection with the terminals in the alternator
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The big charge wire showed 11.6 volts
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.
and its clean and tight
if so check the orange small wire and the terminals in the connector next
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
all of that looks good. Any chance the battery is cooking the alternator? I have a 800 cca battery.
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.
that should not hurt the alternator at all
the computer is what tells this alternator how much and when to charge
how long do the alternators last ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The original one lasted 12 years and the new ones last about 3 or 4 weeks of local driving - maybe 20 miles a day.
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.
this is so hard to say if they are defective low quality alternators or the computer is not telling the alternator to charge
can you try a new or different brand name alternator ?
