Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the manual window regulator handle from the front door, if equipped.
  2. Remove the power door lock switch, if equipped.
  3. Remove the upper extension trim panel screw.
  4. Remove the upper extension trim panel.

  1. Remove the front door trim panel screws (3).
  2. Remove the armrest screws (1).
  3. Starting at the bottom of the door disengage the trim panel retainers using the J 38778.
  4. Lift up on the trim panel (2) to disengage the inner belt molding from the door flange.
  5. Remove the door trim panel (2) from the inner door panel.
  6. Disconnect the door speaker electrical connector.

 

Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Power Regulator)

  1. Lower the window to the three quarters down position.

  2. Remove the door trim panel.
  3. Remove the water deflector in order to access the window regulator.
  4. Remove the window to regulator nuts (4).
  5. Push the window to the closed position and tape in place.
  6. Disconne the regulator electrical connector.
  7. Removect the power window regulator bolts (3).
  8. Drill out the power window regulator rivets (2).
  9. Remove the power window regulator (5) from the door.

installation:




  1. Position the power window regulator (5) in the door.
  2. Connect the door window regulator electrical connector.
  3. Install the power window regulator rivets (2).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the power window regulator bolts (3).

    Tighten
    Tighten the regulator bolts (3) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Remove the tape from the window and push the window down to the regulator.
  6. Install the power window to regulator nuts (4).

    Tighten
    Tighten the window to regulator nuts (4) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the water deflector. Install the door trim panel.

no bolts other then 2 in the track on the door and 2 to hold glass in. Only 4 rivits.

Correct, you have the 2 bolts shown in diagrams, along with the 4 rivets and 2 nuts on the window glass
