98 pontiac grand am: an oil leak..starter..censor..tightened

Customer Question

i have a 98 pontiac grand am, with an oil leak, right above the starter, i took the starter off, and the only thing wet with oil is the censor can it be coming from there, i tightened it up but still leaking, looks like from plug-in, could this be possible?

Yes it is a common problem for the oil to leak out of the center of these sending units. Replacement is the only fix.
