What it the year , make and model of your vehicle?

What engine do you have?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
It's a 1998 potiac grand prix with a 3.8 from a 2001 grand prix.
Expert:  Dan replied 7 years ago.
Normally what causes the P1651 code to set is the fuse is blown to one of the coolant fan motors. Check the 2 30 amp maxi fuses under the hood to see if it is blown. If it is, A fan motor is probably bad.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Thats not the problem and I think its the ecm ground circuit to the fan relay thats bad. Just wonder can you confirm thats possible. The fans are goo and fuses straight wired fans to make sure they functioned correctly.

Do you have a test light and a volt meter to do some tests?

Do the fans cycle on and off while the car is running or with the a/c on?

Is the COOL FAN1 Fuse good?
