Pontiac Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello & Welcome,
Are you referring to the display in the top-center console of the van?
yes I am
Is it completely dead, or are just a few of the functions not working?
OK - Thanks. Let me check the schematics and see if there is anything "easy" we can try first.
Back soon, Greg A.
Here is the schematic.
I believe the easiest thing to do is to test (with a test light or multimeter) the fuses that are shown in the schematic. Note that one is located in the underhood fuse block, and one is in the fuse block on the right side of the dash.
If those are both OK (power at both sides when the key is turned ON), then you will have to get to the back of the unit and check for power and ground there. Here is a diagram of the connector.
If I recall correctly, there are a few screws that have to come out, in both the front and the back of the overhead console, to get the unit down.
I hope this helps. Please let me know what you find or if you need more information.
Take Care, Greg A.
You should have a print option in whatever browser you are using. For example, if you are using Internet Explorer, you can use either the print "button" that is at the top of the screen, or use the File menu and select the Print option from there.
Please let me know if that works for you.
