How do you seperate motor from regulator
Expert:  Dan replied 5 years ago.
Are you replacing just the motor or the entire motor/regulator assembly? If seperating the best thing to do (so you don't pinch your hand in the spring) is put the regulator in a vice. Make sure the spring and regulator are secure so it can't kick back on you once the motor is removed. Then just drill out the motor rivets and replace motor using rivets or small bolts/nuts.
