Customer Question

What is a back water valve? (In basement)
Basement drain to have a back flow preventer installed.
Background: these are 2 conditions stated in a house inspection list prior to selling.
Please advise if they were "current" in 1999 when the house was built.
Many thanks

No questions. I would have followed through but your site has too many confidential questions for me. All I wanted to know was answered by another phone call in 30 seconds.

Thanks for helping me. I have learned that a valve was unnecessary re: bylaws in 1999 so we're off the hook. I can see that it makes good sense. I have no idea how I got connected to you guys - and you ask too many personal questions. Cheers.
