Customer Question

There is sewer smell in the hallway next to a bathroom on and off, not in the bathroom. What might be the problem?

Hello my name is Wade. The most common place is a bad wax seal under the toilet. If you want to test the entire system I can tell you how, but I'd replace the toilet wax ring first.

I have the wax wring replaced recently, the smell is still there. It's not in the bathroom, but outside in the hall way. It's not always there, either, just on and off.
