Will I get an answer?

The only reason your new disposal wouldn't run is if there is no power to the unit. I've never heard of a new unit tripping the reset. That usually only happens when the motor is jammed up. It sounds like you have a wring problem. A new disposal which was wired properly shouldn't blow a fuse.

Did an electrician wire this up?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
The plumber wired it up. He blew the fuse and he left. I went out andp urchasen a new one.
