Customer Question

Hi Pearl. Good morning. My problem...While removing an old pump & 1" gal. pipe with about half the pipe out pipe, came loose at the "C" clamp and down she went and is under water, can't see pipe end. Well is 160 ft. deep. Made a couple of hooks out of re-bar to try and snag something. Did manage to hook something and it was moving up but re-bar broke. Well has a 6" casing. Is there some kind of tool that could grasp the end of the pipe. We are using a large fork lift for hoisting. Any ideas??? We live in a remote area and not very close to town but do have well drillers around here within 25 miles. thanks.
JA: What's the make and model of your machine? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: What machine are you talking about???
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I have some help with the fork lift and some of his gang.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Would it be a good idea to pump the water from the well to expose the end of the pipe???
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Appliance Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

Or did you lose your entire pump?
