Try this to reset the control, slide the “ON/OFF” switch to the “OFF” position. Wait for 10 seconds and move the switch back to the “ON” position.

Well that's the reset procedure and it should work if there are no vapors in the area. You may not notice them since you've probably grown accustomed to the smell but unless the space has been aired out for hours they probably still remain even if they aren't noticeable.
