Customer Question

We live in FL and are on a well system. We installed an aerator system to help reduce the sulphur smell in our house and now we have lowered water pressure to the entire house. If I turn on the washing machine - the kitchen sink water goes to a trickle. Any suggestions?

Does the aerator system have a bypass valve on the top of the unit?

You may want to check the well tank also to make sure it has not ruptured. If the well tank is good, it may be a good idea to install the house aerator before the well pressure tank. That way the pressure tank can supply constant pressure to the house while the well pump is working water through the aerator system.

Our house also has a system that allows us to shut off each individual water line as we need to

Do you have the information on the aerator system to see what the maximum flow rate is? It is possible there may be some debris caught in the line out of the well tank that supplies water to the home, possibly from the installation? If you have a drain tap on the well tank after the aerator, try connecting a hose to is and check the flow there.

maximum flow rate is 60 - will check well line tomorrow (too dark to now)

Is that 60 PSI or 60 Gallons per min?
