My husband & I have a two basin sink stand in our bathroom.

Customer Question

My husband & I have a two basin sink stand in our bathroom. My side keeps getting plugged up with a black, smelly thick substance. I'm at a loss as to what it is. I have short hair, very little makeup. I keep thinking it is skin soap I use but he doesn't what else could it be and how can I clean it up.

It's a combination of a lot of things, hair, soap, bacterial growth and anything else that goes down the drain. It's common to every bathroom sink drain. If you snake out the line properly it's unlikely to return for quite some time.
