Installed a new shower and can not get hot water. Its one handle and when I turn it all the way to hot, water is luke warm.

Almost every new single handle shower valve has a temp limit stop under the handle that limits how far the handle can travel in the hot direction. The idea is to prevent a little kid from getting burned by turning the handle too far too hot. If you remove the handle you can adjust the stop so the handle travels further in the hot direction. I'd need brand and model of the valve to give you specifics
