Customer Question

Hello. I need to replace an external brass hose bib. It has a hexagonal molded-in nut which abuts a copper Tee. There is almost no space between the two. I can't tell if it's is sweated into the Tee or screwed into the Tee. I tried turning the bib using
the hex portion but it didn't seem to want to budge and I was afraid of damaging the Tee which doesn't appear to be very thick. How do I tell if it's a sweated or screwed bib? Cheers Clive

I need a picture of the item you're talking about. You can post a picture here by clicking on the paper clip icon in the tool bar at the top of this dialogue box. You can only post from a PC or a Mac not a phone or a tablet. If that doesn’t work for you then you can upload a pic to a file sharing service likehttps://photos.google.com/ OR https://www.dropbox.comand post the “share” link to your picture here or you can email the pic to customer service but the last option can take quite a while to get to me. Hi Rick
Sorry to trouble you but I got an answer from a knowledgeable guy at ACE hardware.
We had the advantage of actual physical bibs to talk about. It is the kind that has a male screw fitting screwing into the Tee.
The actual bib is on a rental 30 miles away so getting a photo wasn't easy.
Thanks for your response.
