I want to change some of the 1/2" copper plumbing in my basement

Resolved Question:

I want to change some of the 1/2" copper plumbing in my basement to Pex. I was looking at the Sharkbite version and it looks pretty easy and I should only need a couple of tools. I see that there is a crimp tool and there is a clamp tool. Are they the same thing or do I need both?

Hello

Jerry's Advanced Plu :

We do this all the time what you refer to as sharkbite all so has fitting that slip together no tools required <If it was me I would purchase the crimping tool and assemble it that way most secure for the long term,The tool will cost between $60 at lowes to $100 from plumbing supply for tool that fits in tight places.
