Customer Question

Hello,
I have an Infinty 20 which is about 8 years old.
It has one remote controller in the bathroom.
When I put the controller up to 55 degrees, this works fine in the bathroom, but when I turn on taps at the kitchen, the heater fails to fire up and the temperature controller displaydrops back to 50 in the bathroom.
I have to get the 55 degree water running in the bathroom first and then turn on the other taps to get the required temperature then turn off the bathroom Tap.
This ie a relatively recent proble.

rinnai is generally a very reliable Boiler. in my opinion the best there is. likely the problem is simply sediment buildup in the inlet. when the water is restricted by sediment there is not enough flow for the demand of water and you can get erratic benhaviour from the heater. another possible issue is that the heater needs to be flushed. scaling will form on the heating plates and cause lower performance. they should be flushed once a year for ultimate performance. i have attached a video for flushing. i'm sure it is one of those two causes and no doubt both need to be done but if for some reason that does not solve the problem you can post on here even after you accept my answer and i will respond. thanks, mike.
