my sink has been clogged, I plunged it and it didn't work then I removed the elbow pipe and cleaned it out but the sink continues to stay clogged, the bottom of the garbage disposal is leaking and the dish washer has standing water in it, what can I do?
Already Tried: First we used draino, didn't work, then I plunged both sides of the sink, didn't work, then I removed the elbow pipe and cleaned it out, seemed to work but then as I cleaned out the sink it filled up with water again, now the bottom of the garbage disposal is leaking water when I turn it on, and the dish washer has standing water in it??

Is the "elbow pipe" the p-trap? If you cleaned that out and taken apart and checked the pipes that connect the 2 bowls of the sink then the drain line beyond the trap is probably plugged and will need to be snaked out. The most effective way to snake the line is with a power snake
You can usually rent these at a tool rental outlet or it may not be much more expensive to have a drain cleaning service clear the line for you

Yes the elbow pipe is the p-trap... and the pvc pipe from the garbage disposal is also clear.... I took it all apart and made sure it was cleared but now the garbage disposal is leaking from the bottom and the sink will not drain still, so do you believe that that the main line is clogged? and could the garbage disposal now be broken?
The first thing to do is clear the stoppage. It's possible there might be a problem with the disposal but the first order of business is to snake out the drain. If the disposal still leaks from the bottom (not from elsewhwere then dripping down) then it will probably need to be replaced.
Well I believe I have cleared the drain, I took the pipes apart underneath the sink and cleaned them all out except the straight hard pipe running straight into the wall... the garbage disposal is cleaned out also and seems to run fine except that it drip from the bottom... So my question is why is there water still standing in the sink do I need to snake the straight hard pipe? I just dont know where else or why the sink wont drain??
If the water won't drain out of the sink then the drain in the wall is clogged if you cleaned out everything else under the sink. So you need to snake the drain or hire a drain cleaning service to do it for you.
Thanx now do I need to replace the garbage disposal?
If it still leaks from the bottom after the drain is cleared then yes you have to replace it. Be sure the leak is not coming from higher up on the disposal and running down to the bottom. If you're sure it's coming from the bottom you need a new oneRick the plumber41043.6559633449
