the water runs about every ten minutes in my bathroom toilet. do you know why? Should I contact a plumber about it? That's the only toilet in the house that does that.
Already Tried: just turning the water off under the toilet.
Welcome to Just Answer,I will do my best to help with your problemWHat you describe is a sign that the flapper in the botton of the Toilet tank is leaking by and needs to be replaced. It's a fairly easy repair that you could try yourself. If it doesn't work out you can always call a plumber later. Your best bet would be to turn off the toilet and remove the flapper then bring it to a plumbing supply house for a suitable replacement.

If you try to fix this yourself be sure to only leave 1 or 2 links of slack in the flapper's chain Thanks for using Just Answer
