Our house is about 40 years old and we are on a septic tank. It has been pumped about 2 years ago. Whenever we do laundry, we get quite a lot of gurgling in the showers and in the toilets. is this a problem?
Already Tried: We have force water down the vent pipes sticking through the roof.
Welcome. This does sound like a venting issue, but could also be a partial clog in the actual drain line. IF the gurgling sound in the Toilet is air bubbling up thorough, then I would suspect either a partial clog in the drain line, or possibly the septic tank is full, and not draining out the drain field quickly enough. The first place I would check is the septic tank. Pull the lid and watch while you run a load of laundry and see if the level of the water in the tank raises. I suspect there is a drain field problem.
