Customer Question

My Kohler whirlpool tub will not run properly. I push the button to start it and a 1 second puff comes out and then nothing. I push it again and nothing at all happens. After 5 minutes or so, I push the button and get the same 1 second puff of air through the jets.

Anyone know what may be wrong?

Plumbing Pro : Welcome to Just Answer, I will do my best to Answer your question to the best of my professional ability. You can respond by typing in the box.
Plumbing Pro : These are pressure switches and work off air in a tub getting pushed threw from the switch you push in and then turns on the motor . Try holding in the button and see if that keeps it going . Sounds like the switch has gone bad and will need to be replaced as they do go bad over time .
JACUSTOMER-8xisdq7i- :

Is this something I can replace myself?

Plumbing Pro : The housing around the switch should unscrew to reveille the switch and the clear tub connected under it , try taking off the switch and see if the hose is complexly attached still if it's not then it will cause this problem if not then the switch will need to be replaced . You will need to contact the manufacture for a replacement . Thank you for choosing Just Answer .
