Jerry :

Welcome to JA!

Jerry :

How long does the heater stay on? How old is the water heater? Have you checked the water temperature at the drain valve?

Jerry :

If it is cycling on and off then the thermostat is not working.

This water heater does not have a convevtional thermostat that is accessable. The problem has to be in the computer.

Customer replied 490 days and 19 hours ago.

This answer is totally wrong. This is not a conventional water heater it is computer controlled and does not have a user accessible thermostat. I'm very unhappy with my expert.

Welcome to Just Answer, I will do my best to Answer your question to the best of my professional ability. You can respond by typing in the box. Do you hear the exhaust fan on top kicking on when the heater trys to light ? If the exhaust fan on top goes bad or stops working then the heater will not allow it self to stay lit and keep going out as a built in safety . Do you hear your exhaust fan kicking on or no ?
