My zoeller sump pump is not kicking on when water level brings up bobber, have been 'manually' kick starting it by tapping it.
Already Tried: Tapping the bobber/handle and it starts to work.
Welcome to JA! That's the float switch and its going bad. Its about 20 dollar part available at most hardware / plumbing stores.
Is there anything to do until I get this part? We are in the midst of heavy rains due to the Hurricane and stores are closed. thanks
If your plug in is accessible, you can manually plug in the pump when needed, by unplugging the piggyback plug from the switch plug. This wont make it automatic but it may be easier than tapping the float.
