The rough in measurement for the current toilet is slightly

Resolved Question:

The rough in measurement for the current toilet is slightly more than 11 inches, but not quite 12. Can I still install a 12 inch toilet or do I have do get a 10 inch one? The one there now is butted against the wall.

Welcome to Just Answer, I will do my best to help you solve your problem

Rick the plumber :

You might be able to squeeze in a 12" toilet. It depends on the toilet. You probably have a 12" now

Customer:

Is there any easy way to tell if it is a 12 incher?

Rick the plumber :

If it's jammed against the wall it's a 12

Customer:

Is there some wiggle room? Meaning, when there is a full 12 inches, is ther toilet away from the wall?

Rick the plumber :

a 10" would have at least 1" space

Customer:

Okay, I think I will go with the 12 incher. It is a better toilet, and almost half the price! Thank you so much!
