WHAT SIZE/KIND IRRIGATION PUMP WITH IRRIGATION METER AS REQUIRED BY TX ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TO WATER A 10 ACRE FIELD. PLANNING TO GROW HAY FOR BALES FOR OUR 8 COWS.

for starters 1) what is your incoming water pressure, 2) what is the elevation from the water main source to the highist point of the main to be installed 3) what design irrigation system are you planing to use ie; loop, or take offs ect ect

 

in a hole with out seeeing the project i would recomend ( for a 10 acrre area ) not knowing the avrage water requirments for hay crops

 

you need a sprinkler booster system not just a pump you need tanks pumps and so forth

 

as for meatering the water usage you will need a "single jet meter" and a RPZ backflow device with a by pass meter for every water connection off the main

 

10 acers is a larg system that should require an expert to lay out and maintain the system
