Water hammer causing the hot water to stop running for a while, than comes bach after a pipe bang

set higher the tank set point

Entire house. I installed Water Hammer arrestors on the LG waching machine inlet valves

Generally a water hammer problem will not cause loss of pressure it is more likely you have a washer that has come loose look for a valve on the line before any branches and replace it that will likely solve your problem

I do have cold water without interruption, even when the hot has stopped. There is a valve right on the hot water side of the water heater. Could that be the culprit ?
