I have water hammer most times the well pump starts up. It

Customer Question

I have water hammer most times the well pump starts up. It definitely seems to be at pump start up and not related to any valve shutoff issues. I just replaced the pressure tank which had a bad bladder and caused frequent pump starts. I readjusted the pressure switch to be within 2 psi of the tank pressure. Still having water hammer issue!
Any suggestions on cause?

Shut off the water to the toilet or toilets and see if this stop the hammering. Bad fill valve in toilets can cause hammering on well systems.

Did this work or not ?

This didn't work. I went thru a process to get air out of lines and this seems to ahve fixed problem.

I glad you got it, 70% of the time a toilet fill valve cause this to happen, but air in the line also will do it.
