Thanks Rick. Let me tell you more about my problem. From the meter, there is 3/4 PVC for 1 foot, then a tee. 3/4 PVC goes 500 ft to a bury hydrant at a barn. Water really blows out of it good & hard. The other outlet of the tee goes 3/4 PVC 1 foot, into a 1x3/4 PEX adapter and immediately goes into a 1" PEX 90. 1" PEX goes 180' with one coupling along the way, then another 90. 10", it goes through 1" PEX ball valve. Then 40' more to another 1" 90. 1' further it goes into 3/4 PEX under slab, which goes 20' where it branches throughout the house.
All fixtures show 58# XXXXX 4 sillcocks also show 58# XXXXX Turning on a sillcock, the flow is awful. At fixtures, when something is turned on, the pressure drops 20#.
I cut a tee into the 1" water service before it's tie in with the 3/4. It showed 58#, until I turned on something - in this case it was a nearby sill cock, that is 20' of 3/4 PEX then 20' OF 1/2 PEX from the gauge. The gauge dropped 20#.
Man, I am bamboozled. A fix would be so welcome. Stress level is sky high and a solution would give me back a couple of years of life.
