I have a garbage disposal unit. I discarded expired items such as powdered skim milk and yeast granulars. Once those items went through, I discarded approximately 3 cups of stale flour. While discarding the flour thru the unit, it stopped working half way through. Obviously I put too much flour through at one time and caused a blockage in the unit. What should I do? Can I add anything to drain through the clumped up flour? I appreciate your help; feeling very stupid at the moment!

Sorry to hear about your problem.
Flour should be thrown away. When mixed with water it becomes a gluey mess. I would just keep flushing the drain with water and keep using a wooden spoon to break up the clumping. Eventually the disposal will come on again. Do not keep turning it on while it is stuck or you can burn the motor out. Once it is spinning throw in some ice to help break up the remaining clumps of flour and rinse thoroughly.
