Thanks for your question. I'm sorry you are uncomfortable with your penis size. Surgery is not always the answer. Sometimes, medications may be of help only for as long as the medications are taken. Sometimes it may be that your self image may be incorrect. Sometimes the risks and costs and difficulties associated with penile enlargement through surgery are not worth the time, energy and money spent. The first step is the consultation with a Urologist or Plastic surgeon to determine if surgery is the answer you need. It is rare for the penis to be too small as to be abnormal. Occasionally weight loss is all that is necessary. If surgery is chosen, injections of fat or dermal filer (such as Restalyn , etc) may be too lumpy and only enlarges laterally not legnth. The silicone insertions are associated with some complications, such as erosion and extrusion and can lead to deformity and discomfort. There are several M.D.s that advirtise the surgical procedure, but you must be certain that they are well trained, certified and experienced. Always be sure that you are informed as to options, risks, what should be expected and the costs of the procedure. It would be best to consult with a surgeon (plastic or urological) in a University. Any of the University Hospitals (Columbia, Downstate , Montifiore, etc. should be able to help. Contact the Medical staff secretary and ask if a Urologist or Plastic Surgeon on the staff has expertise in Cosmetic Surgery of the male sex organ. There may be some surgeons elsewhere in the country that do this type of procedure and a call to 800 phone # XX the American College of Urologists or of Plastic Surgery and request a Dr. that does this kind of work.
