Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.
To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) How many TOTAL cordless handsets do you have with this system, and if more than one, do ALL handsets have this same issue?
2) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?
3) If you have ANY other devices (phones, fax, etc. but NOT part of the Vtech system) attached to this same phone line and if so, are they working properly?

OK - when you connect this phone (or the older Vtech system), do you connect the PHONE CORD to a phone jack in the wall - OR - DIRECTLY to a Time Warner "box" or piece of equipment?
Also, you mentioned the "service is fine". How was that determined (was it TESTED by anyone)?
