1) WHEN do you hear (or see) that the "answer function not set up"?
2) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?

OK - how many rings do you hear BEFORE you hear this "not set up" message?
Did we get disconnected?
I was also going to ask if you get the SAME MESSAGE - if you disconnect (or turn OFF) the answering system and repeat your TEST CALL?
