Customer: we just purchased our phone system. we were able to do all set up except putting the new message on
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?

JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: we have scoured the instructional manual and don't understand the symbol that is in brackets with an up and down arrow. when we tried using the units up and down arrow it only gives us a P or erase.

Initially, a review; have you tried pressing the OFF button first on the handset before performing the MENU # 3 0 2 ▲/▼ Yes -► [SELECT]

On the handset, between the TALK and OFF buttons would be the squarish big button where the ▲ and ▼ are on the top portion and bottom portion of this button respectively.
