Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?
4) Do you have dsl service on the same line?
5) Full model of the phone(s) (printed on sticker on the base usually)

1. I have 2 hand sets in the same system
2. No other phones or fax on same line
3. This is a line from a cable company
4. There is no dsl service on same line

If it is only an occasional issue, it becomes difficult to diagnose.

But initially could you please unplug power to your cable MODEM for 60+ seconds to reboot it, then let me know if you have any further phone problems after that?

I unplugged the the power to my cable MODEM for 60+ seconds, but since, the problem is occasional, I wouldn't know whether the problem has been fixed or not until it happens and when that will be, I don't know--tomorrow, next week, month, ? So what do you think

Nathan, I can see the problem that we're up against, can I still contact you when the problem occurs again? Like I said--I don't know WHEN it's going to happen. The disconnect from the modem and connect again could've done the trick, but we will not know, so let's wait, OK? That might've been it. Can we keep our time open? Thanks
