Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Please tell me the maker (Panasonic? at a guess) and the model #, of your cordless phone and answering system.

Expert:  Russell H. replied 1 month ago.

Guessing that you have a Panasonic cordless phone (most of them are, these days, is my impression), then these instructions may be tried:

Start with the phone turned Off for at least several minutes.

Then, turn it On.

Wait a minute until it is fully turned On and initialized.

Then:

press the dash key at upper right next to the word 'MENU' on the screen.

then enter

# 3 0 2

and use the up-arrow or down-arrow (the upper or lower side of the multi-controller button, the large four-sided button) to select

YES

and then press

SELECT

and speak into the phone to record your greeting message for callers who are about to record on your voice mail, such as a sample message:

Hello, this is ____, please leave a message on my voicemail. Thanks.

and then press

STOP

and then press

OFF

to complete the message recording process.

If this answers your question, please rate my answer. A five-star rating would be appreciated!
