Hi Ron, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.Initially, have you tried "unpairing" the cellular phone to the base unit?
Can you please check which cellphone connection was "...accidentally got turned on..."; CELL 1 or CELL 2?
Appreciate the additional information.
Can you now please try?
Yes please Roy and would appreciate an update when able.

Please try again the above procedure but instead, use MENU # 6 1 1 2.
Yes; still here and reviewing the manual.
Can you please try the same procedures using another handset?
Please press the handset's OFF button first.
Please try again:
Let's try again; please always press the handset's OFF button first, then:
Roy after the OFF was first pressed, was MENU then pressed and then the # and then the 6 1 1 2 ? ...and even with the 6 1 1 1
Sorry but no; arrow buttons first to go to Yes and then the SELECT button...then the OFF button (again).

Did the base rebooted please?

If still not corrective, then it would be to your advantage as you earlier posted, "...return it to the store..."
I understand this is not what you are hoping to hear, and I'm sorry but I don't have better news.
I realize that the above post may perhaps be not what was expected. It would appear that there is no quick-n-easy fix and neither is there a workaround; again sorry for having to be the bearer of bad news.
Good luck and thank you too for the opportunity to be able to exchange information.
