Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today.

Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with this but I’ll do my best to help you out.

Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?
4) Do you have dsl service on the same line?
5) Full model of the phone(s) (printed on sticker on the base usually)

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
1. BASE HANDSET IS ONLY ONE THAT EXISTS
2. NO FAX EXISTS, NO OTHER PHONES/SUBSCRIPTIONS/LINES
3. LAND LINE ATT SO I THINK ITS FIBEROPTIC
4. NO DSL EXISTS

Thank you for the information,

This could be a line issue, or a panasonic issue. Can you please unplug power and phone line to the panasonic base station for a few minutes,

and while disconnected, call your home number from an outside line (cell phone, neighbors, etc) and tell me if it rings normally, goes to voicemail, or gives a busy signal.

Then plug back in, and test again.

WILL DO AS U ADVISE - HAVE NO CELL TO USE.

UNPLUGGED , NOW ITS PLUGGED IN AGAIN. NO CHANGE
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

Your uverse phone line comes through the internet, so you may have a faulty modem.

Unplug power to your att modem/gateway for 60+ seconds to reboot it.

OK
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

Any change?
Your line rings once and goes to busy, which does usually indicate a line fault.

Were you able to reboot the modem, Shirley?
