$5 has been taken from my credit card, which it said was 100% refundable. Why has another $32 been taken. Unless I get a satisfactory answer soon I am going to dispute both payments.

Can you remove the power to the base unit on the Uniden please and wait 10 minutes.

Then connect the power and tell me if it is now functioning please.
