Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.
NOTE: The "why" of any payment here is to help troubleshoot this issue - to find and possibly "fix" the issue with you. We experts here are independent of any manufacturer (like Panasonic) or service provider (such as your phone company).
So with that stated, please let me know if you would like to continue there (or not).
If you would like to continue, let me ask the following questions:
1) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?
2) If you have ANY other devices (phones, fax, alarm system, etc.) attached to this same phone line (not part of the MAIN system), and if so, are they working properly (not have the static)?
3) Did this static ALWAYS happen (from day 1 of installation), or has it started recently?
