my Motorola cordless phone w/answering system has very poor voice quality in answering machine system. very hard to understand anything left on the answering machine part of the telephone system. this system has been OK for a long time but now is not clear at all.

Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with your phones.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) The Model Number of the Motorola system you are working with? That model number should be printed on a sticker - usually on the bottom or back of the MAIN BASE UNIT of the system (the part that contains the answer system).
2) How many TOTAL cordless handsets do you have with this system?
3) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?
4) When you listen to the messages, is it using the MAIN BASE UNIT or one of the cordless handsets?
