My brand new phone KX-TGC210 indicates to "check tel Line".
It was working fine before. What does this mean?

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,
Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of this issue.
May I ask:
1) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?
2) If you have ANY other devices (phones, fax, alarm system, etc.) attached to this same phone line?
I only ask because a "check tel line" message means that the MAIN BASE UNIT is NOT detecting a "valid" phone signal.
Could it be that the PHONE CORD connecting the main base unit has come loose?
The FIRST thing I would do is double-check BOTH ends of the phone cord - where it connect to the phone line AND the main base. You can even remove each end and reconnect them until you hear and feel a "click" of the connector.
NEXT, if you can TEST that same phone jack with a DIFFERENT phone, that would tell us if this is a phone line issue or a phone issue.
Please let me know what you find or if you have any more questions.
Thanks, ***** *****
