This phone does not have answering machine. It can display a message from your phone service provider voice mail.

I just learned that few minutes a go. Your phone can display an alert of external voice mail messsage from your service provider.

Customer :

Ok. Now what? As my question was not answered i assume I will not be charged.

electronicsguy :

To access this message, you will need a local phone number that is provided by your service provider. Set your account and you should be good

electronicsguy :

The answer to your question is, your phone does not have answering machine.

Customer :

What do you mean set your account? Can my provider put in a message?

electronicsguy :

Yes/ No. Your provider can accept a messege without you being able to access it especially when your home receiver does not pick a call after a number of rings

electronicsguy :

In order to access the message you will be required to set your pin # XXXXXX you can listen to a message

Customer :

Should I buy a single phone which definitely has a message centre and use tese as extensions?

It will be a good idea for you to get a single phone with answering machine and use the other ones as remote handsets
