Have a BeoCom 6000 phone which the battery loses it charge quickly. Purchased battery from Batteries Plus and could not get it to charge. Returned to original battery and phone works but continued to lose charge quickly. We have two model 6000's and the other works fine on the exsisting charger so we are assumming the charger is working correctly. Please advise where to purchase battery and if required where to send phone for repair.Thank You,Carl vogel
Hello & Welcome,Sorry I didn't see your question earlier. Can you tell me the AGE of this unit that is failing? The reason I ask is because these units usually come with a 36 month (3 year) limited warranty (unless you have different "terms" that came in a printed document with the phone). So if the phone is less than 3 years old, the normal "repair procedure" is to start at a Bang & Olufsen retailer to see about having your unit repaired. If you would like to find the nearest retailer - so that you can contact them - I have a link to a page where you can do that. B & O Store Locator <-- Click hereNow I must warn you, these are "older technology" devices, but if it is still under warranty, you should still be able to get the unit repaired OR if that service is no longer offered (that sometimes happens when repair parts become unavailable), be credited for a reasonable cost to upgrade to a more current device - that is available. One other tip: Be sure to take ALL components of the unit package (phone & charger) with you when you arrange for repair/replacement. And if at all possible, a copy of the receipt showing when you purchased this unit.I hope this helps. Please let me know your results - when you can.---------------------------------------If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask! Please remember to rate my answer only when you are 100% satisfied. IF you feel the need to click either "Helped a little" or "I expected more", please stop and reply to me via the CONTINUE CONVERSATION or REPLY button with the issue you have. I will be happy to continue further and do everything I can to provide you with the service you seek.Take Care, Greg A.
Unit does not hold a charge---purchased battery from Batteries Plus and unit still did not hold a charge. Have more than one phone using the same charger and the other holds a charge. Phone is over five years old and have purchased battery before without problem. Prior repair facility out of business---cannot find factory repair.
Hi again,Did you use the store locator above to find the closes location? And if so, did you contact them (recommend by phone first) to see if they still offer repair? I have included that link for below.B & O Store Locator <-- Click hereAs you know, this is an older "technology" phone, and from your description of the symptoms, it sounds like there is an internal fault that is draining the battery. If repair is no longer available, I would recommend upgrading to one of the newer technology units that is current and will offer a new warranty to you. Please let me know what you find.Take Care, Greg A.
