Optional Information: Brand: Uniden Dect 3035 Type of Appliance: Other Already Tried: The set up as per the book they came with.
Hello & Welcome,Can you tell me "now new" this system is? (hours, days, etc.).Can you also tell me the TOTAL number of handsets you have for this system? Thanks
The phones were new yesterday There are 3 other cordless phones in the house.
Hi again,OK - for the total number of handsets, what I was asking it the handsets that came with this system - in the same package. If there are other handsets besides the ones that came in the package, I will need to know the make and model number of those too - to check to see if they are compatible with the 3035 base unit. Thanks
2 handsets in new package. The other phones are Dect2035NZ Brother Fax 878 and uniden FP204.
Hi again,Sorry for the delay - I was just checking for the compatibility of the 3035 and 2035 systems and if the handsets from the different systems would work together or with the other base unit. But unfortunately these two different system are not designed to work together. Now where that becomes really important is when it comes to physical placement of the two base units, and the handsets that work with each base unit. The idea here is that these two base units can cause interference with each other AND the handsets that are supposed to work with each base. So what you will want to do is try to keep the two different base units physically "apart" from each other - such as putting them at opposite ends of your home or office. Now when it comes to the new system (the 3035), the handsets that came in the package SHOULD already be pre-registered to the base unit, so it should just be a matter of charging the batteries for each handset (for 15 hours initially) and then plugging in the main base unit (into the phone line and the AC mains for power). If you have done ALL of that, but the handsets were within close range of the other base unit (2035) OR the 3035 base unit was close to the 2035 base, then there could have been interference between the 3035 handsets and their new base unit when they were power up.So what I would do - once the new handsets are fully charged for that 15 hours, is to make sure the new base unit is far away from the other cordless base unit, and the new handsets (now charged) are within about 3 m. of the new base, and then reset those new components. I have the instructions for that reset below. Just make sure that the new system components are far away from the old cordless system.Cordless system "reset" procedure. This is done by following the steps below.============================1) Remove the batteries from ALL handsets in the system.2) Remove the phone cord from the main base unit AND the phone jack in the wall.3) Remove the AC power adapter plug from the main base unit AND remove the AC adapter from the power outlet.4) WAIT 15 minutes. This allows any "stuck" conditions in the components to clear.5) Reconnect the batteries in all handsets.6) Reconnect the phone cord between the main base and the phone jack in the wall.7) Reconnect the AC power adapter plug in the main base unit and then plug the AC adapter into the wall power outlet.8) Wait 30-60 seconds for the system to reinitialize.9) Test each handset for proper function.10) Test each function of the main base unit (answering system, caller id, etc.).============================Please give these things a try and let me know what you find or if you have more questions.Take Care, Greg A.Greg A.41080.1289550579

Hi Greg did what you told me to do with phones, same as before, not even a dail tone and every other phone in the house are disconnected,so maybe the new phones are duds or what. Wayde
Hi again,I saw your other message, but closed it so that we wouldn't have two separate questions open.OK - if you still have the same results on the 3035 handsets, the next thing is to do is to Reset and Register the handsets to the base unit. The instructions for each of these actions should be on page 21 of your manual. I have a ODF version of the manual below, just in case you want it.Manual <-- Click HerePlease try the reset and register - one handset at a time - and let know what you see. You should see the messages on the screen that are mentioned in the manual, so please let me know what messages you see. Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX
