Hello. I have a Panasonic phone Model # XXXXX It won't work. I have replaced the batteries. My phone, internet and TV is with Comcast Xfinity. I purchased a new desktop computer a couple of days ago; got it set up; works, but now the phone won't work. The phone is on (charged, I believe) but there is no dial tone.

Have you tired to register the hand set to the base? Try unplugging the power to the phone for a few minutes, phone line and power. Then try again
If that doesn't help, try another phone jack in the house
Okay. I'll try this and respond in a few minutes.
I unplugged the power to the phone, and tried again. Nothing. I tried this also with another phone jack in the house. Always before when I put the phone in the cradle, a little light went on (the phone), which to me showed that it was ?recharging. When I do that now, the little light does not come on... Should I be contacting Comcast to see if my phone service is not working?
Check the AC adapter that plugs into the outlet, if it's cold, it's dead. It should feel warm to the touch. It may be just a bad power adapter.
It's a transformer that converts the power down from 1120 volts to 9 or 12 volts. It should feel warm.
