Following the instructions in the users guide, I can't the ring time from two to four or six.

 



Already Tried:
following the manual with out success and calling the 800 number for 25 minutes.

Setting the Number of Rings

The ring time setting allows you to set the number of rings (2, 4, or 6) the caller hears before your answering system

picks up. If you select Toll Saver, the answering system picks up after two rings if you have new messages, and after

four rings if there are none. This way, if you make a long distance call to check your messages, you can hang up

after the third ring to avoid long distance billing charges.

1) Press Menu /Select .

2) Select the Ans. Setup menu, and then the Ring Time submenu.

3) Move the cursor to select a ring time (Toll Saver, 2 Times, 4 Times, or 6 Times).

4) Press Menu /Select . You will hear a confirmation tone.

Tell me how to change the ring times off of 2 and on to 4.

I did this reply a couple of hours ago. As I said then, I did exactly what you told me (which was the same as the operating manual) and it should that I had moved the rings from two to four; however when I called it should four but still rang twice and jumped to the answering message. I sometimes can't get to the phone in two rings so people who call me are hearing two rings and then the voice mail message.

Try unpluging it from the power after you change it and see if it accepts it

I am beginning to think your just a skam. I still don't have an precise answer but my bank shows three withdrawals to you one for $38 and 2 for $1. Give me an answer that works or return my money and close my account.

Hello Sir or Madam and thanks for choosing the JustAnswer.com Phone Systems subcategory of the Electronics category.

Reset the controllers as follows:

 

  • Remove the rechargeable batteries from each of the cordless handset(s).
  • Unplug the main base power cord from the wall outlet. (Not to be confused with the remote charging base)
  • Unplug the other end of the power cord from the main base.
  • (If the main base also has a main backup battery, remove the battery.)
  • ----- Wait 20 minutes. -----
  • (The timing is very important --- 15 minutes is too short and 30 minutes may be too long. If you miss the time window, plug the unit back in for 5 minutes and start over.
  • Re-connect the power cord to the main base.
  • Re-install the rechargeable battery in one of the cordless handsets.
  • Place the cordless handset in the main base.
  • Re-connect the main base power cord to the wall outlet.

  • Then try to change the ring count again.

Followed the above and previous instructions, set the ring count at 6 then called from my cell. It stay at two rings then jumped to greeting recording.

  • Do you follow through with the selection and get the confirmation tone immediately after the change?

  • Check to make sure that the phone company voice mail is not intercepting the call by unplugging the device from the power so it is not able to answer.
  • Then call from your cell to see if the voice mail (from the phone company) still answers.
