Customer Question

We recieved a CL84100/CL84200/CL84300/CL84350 DECT 6.0 corded/cordless telephone for Christmas on Dec.25. 2011 and the base has stop working and I have tried the Troubleshooting steps in the manual. Only the screen lights up but no message in on the phone. The remotes screen has (No power at base. Can you give me an answer?

Unpluged base and waited 15 seconds or more than plug it in again.

Hello maybe I can help. Make sure the base unit POWER supply plug is secure in both the wall plug end and the phone connection end. Please verify that the transformer (wall plug end , small 'box" plugged into power) is WARM to the touch, not hot or cold, please let me know the results so I can further assist you

I don't know what happened but for some reason my telephone is serviceable again this morning. Thanks.

That is great for you - would you like to explore why this has happened in order to understand / repair in the future should this happen again OR did the wall plug I referenced and the power jack I asked you to check result in the answer correcting / and answering your question, as 90% of the time it (the answer) IS power related and you probably fixed it by re seating the power by following the tests I gave you. I hope you have luck and thank you for your time, please "accept" answer or contact me for further questions, if any. *NOTE* please make sure on your model that IF you need to reset, un plug BASE power, remove remote BATTERIES and wait for 10 minutes - then plug in BASE power first, then wait for 3 minutes, re install all remote batteries, and wait another 5 minutes, and the system should reset re sync.
